Since 1995, Jeff has worked with the resource and energy
industries, finance and investment sectors providing corporate advisory
services. He is the cofounder of the AustralAsian Cleantech Forum now in its
sixth year bringing investors together with companies and projects for
knowledge exchange and commercial interaction. He has played a key role introducing
cleantech into Australia and India and has established a global network of
investors and pipeline of Cleantech innovation.
Jeff has founded and built clean technology companies with
successful exits. He has structured JV’s and successfully introduced investors
raising capital into cleantech companies, funds and projects, particularly
between Australia and India.
Jeff is presently assisting with an institutional capital
raising for a major Clean Energy and Technology Fund and is also a leading
member of consortia responsible for the debt and equity capital requirements
for the development of two 60-150MW Renewable power projects linked with smart
grid innovations. Presently he is working with leading dairy farm companies to
develop a sustainable dairy farm demonstration project in South Australia which
includes the deployment of a suite of clean water, waste and energy
technologies with automatic milking, organic fodder and milk power processing
for export to India. He also leads clean technology mandates of Australian
companies innovation into the India market in partnership with the YES Bank.
Jeff is the CEO of Clean Technology AustralAsia established
in 2004 to play a catalytic role in building the Cleantech industry in
Australia, to connect investors with cleantech opportunities and to accelerate
the investment in and deployment of Clean Technologies in the Asia Pacific. He
has advised the Australian governments and the Asia-Pacific Partnership
countries (China, India, Korea, Japan, Canada, US and Australia) on investments
in Clean Development and Climate projects. Jeff is Chairman of the Australian
Cleantech Investment Showcase panel reviewing private and public
companies. Jeff has held senior
executive and Board positions of leading companies in Australia and North
America.
Peter Castellas Managing Director
Peter is the joint founder and Managing Director of Cleantech AustralAsia, a business established to accelerate the investment in and deployment of clean technologies in the Asia Pacific region. Throughout Peter's 20-year entrepreneurial career, he has worked at the leading edge of the sustainable development agenda and has advised leading corporations, governments and financial institutions. He has designed and run successful Cleantech Finance & Investment Initiatives throughout Asia and has recently completed a major international project for the Asia Pacific Partnership for Clean Development and Climate to develop a Strategic Action plan to increase the investment in and deployment of renewable energy in India.
Peter is also the Fund Advisor of the Sustainable Melbourne Fund where he has pioneered a number of innovative financing models and turnkey solutions for the upgrade and retrofit of commercial buildings. Peter and has held roles including the Sustainability Advisor for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Head of International Business for Melbourne University Private, and National Environmental and Engineering Manager for Dunhill Management Services. Peter is a National Councillor for Environment Business Australia. He is a regular presenter at national and international conferences and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Education in Environmental Studies.
Michele Hartz-Rosenberg Commercialisation Manger
Michele has been the
Commercialisation Manager with Cleantech AustralAsia for five years and has
been integral to the success and growth of the company. In addition to a key role in helping to build
the Cleantech Forum events into the premier forum on Cleantech in AustralAsia,
she was the co-author of the “Victorian Cleantech Industry” report, including
Australian Cleantech sector classification. Michele leads market research
projects and business planning services for cleantech companies, including SWOT
analysis, competitor analysis and risk assessment.
Michele is the founder of Eco-efficient Sustainable Strategies and
Environmental Advisory services, established for over 6 years and has advised
governments and businesses on international best practice and leading
environmental management and corporate sustainable business strategies. She has also worked with Monash University in
research and development of sustainable curriculum and climate change
initiatives under the Department of Business Law and Taxation. She has a
Bachelor of Arts from Melbourne University, a Graduate Diploma in Corporate
Sustainability and Environmental Management from Monash University and
Associates Degree in Business from Clark College, USA
Geoff Gedge
Since 1994, Geoff has
worked extensively within the financial services industry, both as a funds
manager for AXA involved with the formation, structuring and distribution of
various investment products, and as a corporate trustee, supervising $2.4
billion of retail investors funds, invested across domestic and international
equity, fixed interest and property sectors.
For five years from 1999, Geoff’s focus was on corporate
advisory work for Credit Suisse within the Asia Pacific region. He has spent
considerable time working on property, infrastructure, and financial services
projects throughout New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, the
Philippines, Hong Kong and China, undertaking a variety of M&A roles and providing
clients with a number of debt and equity solutions for their projects.
Geoff is a Director of Greroc Advisory Partners which is a
boutique private advisory firm established in 2006 with a specific focus on
investment opportunities that arise from Australia and New Zealand’s vibrant
and broad unlisted direct property funds management and associated clean
technology sectors. Grenroc is a specialist adviser and manager in unlisted
direct property investment funds and associated built environment clean technology. Grenroc advises on mergers, acquisitions, divestments and capital
raisings for unique, scalable and competitive growth opportunities including
businesses whose products and services have the potential of gaining niche or
dominant market share.

David Hunt
David is an
experienced CEO for an ASX listed company, non executive Director, and a

Jeremy Baker
As an experienced
Investment Banker, Jeremy has worked for leading global investment firms based
in the United States, including AG Edwards and

With an active interest in entrepreneurship and innovation, Paul worked closely

With studies in electronics engineering, languages, art, drama and business,
